NSW Health reveals likely source of local COVID-19 infections as new restrictions are rolled out



Health authorities are scrambling to find a possible “missing link” after it was revealed the two new locally acquired coronavirus cases from Sydney’s eastern suburbs match the sequence of a returned traveller.

New South Wales recorded the second case of COVID-19 on Thursday, a day it was revealed a man in his 50s from Sydney’s eastern suburbs had returned a positive result.

The new case, a woman in her 50s, is the man’s household contact.
